Et teppe, en gruppe modulbaserte møbler, og en baldakin, utgjør arena for en serie
samtaler og foredrag, organisert som en del av utstillingen Beyond Measure.
Det store runde teppet avgrenser aktivitetens utfoldelse, hvor benkene kan settes opp
i sirkelformasjon, eller spres rundt og arrangeres fritt etter ønske. To gule gardiner,
hvis lengde korresponderer med rommets lengde, henger ned fra himlingen.
Et transparent dekke som buer seg under det vinklede takvinduet og faller ned rett
over gulvet i en kontinuerlig linje, som danner både et tak og et bakteppe som bryter
symmetrien i rommet.

A carpet, a group of modular furniture and a canopy create the venue for a series
of talks organised during the exhibition Beyond Measure. The large round carpet
delimits the play space on which the benches can be aligned in a circle following
the perimeter of the carpet or scattered or arranged as needed. Two yellow curtains,
whose length corresponds to the length of the room, hang from the ceiling. They form
a translucent covering that arches below the angular skylight and fall just above the
floor in a continuous line, both a roofing and a backdrop that break with the symmetry
of the space.

Luca Frei, (b. 1976 in Lugano, Switzerland), based in Malmö, Sweden. His work often include aspects related to pedagogy and play in the shape of architectural interventions, narrative environments or presentation structures that invite public participation and dialogue. Constant thematic preoccupations encompass the relationship between body and architecture, translation and mediation, as well as aspects related to community and learning. 

Frei has had solo shows at Kunsthaus Glarus; Bonner Kunstverein; Lunds Konsthall, Barbara Wien, Berlin; Studio Dabbeni, Lugano; along with participation in numerous biennials such as the Cairo Biennial; the Prague Biennial; the Istanbul Biennial; and exhibitions at Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, Tensta Konsthall in Stockholm, the The National Museum of Modern Art Kyoto; Bildmuseet Umeå, Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven; Centre Pompidou in Paris; and Moderna Museet in Stockholm. Recent exhibitions designs include Malmö Konsthall; Azkuna Zentroa Bilbao; Tate Liverpool; MHKA, Antwerp; and Nottingham Contemporary.
