As part of the exhibition  Drawings Belonging to the Heart, the artist duo Hertling & Andreassen invite you to spend the night in one of the museum's halls - renamed "Sovesalen" (the Dormitory) during the exhibition.

From the evening, through the night, towards the morning, the fragile hours, they are coming; they are there, and maybe just then, the creature of art is closest to us.

With their tired beautiful sighs, whimsical cold, and secret shortcuts, we make a dormitory with thick duvets in the beds in this building. Here you can check-in at the museum reception in the evening, perhaps alone, with your family or a friend. Some unknowns may have already gone to bed when you arrive, and someone might come and read to you or sing you to sleep. Other nights, the dormitory will only give you the sounds this building has received over a long life. Possibly you can feel the desire to get up and walk when the silence comes, just be you, alone with what you meet in our exhibition.

- Translated quote from Hertling & Andreassen

For several years, the artist duo Hertling & Andreassen have dealt with buildings and places in Trondheim threatened with closure and decommissioning. Through ritual and performative acts in which they invite the audience into the rooms, including themselves, and allow it to become the art project itself, they have resurrected dormant interest in forgotten premises, buildings and objects, and given them back some of their history, distinctiveness, and value.

As part of the exhibition Drawings Belonging to the Heart, the artist duo Hertling & Andreassen invites you to spend the night in one of the museum's halls - renamed The Dormitory in connection with the exhibition.
