ULMIE
ULMIE is a group exhibition featuring Sissel M. Bergh, Amanda & Stacey Fayant, Meerke Laimi Thomasson Vekterli, and Guri Simone Øveraas.
The exhibition opens on 16 October 2026 and will be on view at the museum until 7 February 2027.
Through film, installation, photography, textile art, poetry, and performance, the artists of ULMIE bring forward Southern Sámi and other Indigenous perspectives on history, community, and the future. Rooted in the Southern Sámi region of Åarjel-Saepmie, the exhibition presents stories of places, memories, and communities with deep historical roots, highlighting enduring connections between people, land, and cultural belonging.
______
ULMIE marks a new chapter in an ongoing artistic collaboration that began with Giltebe!, an exhibition at LevArt in 2023.
